Exhesive is a fully formulated, premixed water based acrylic co-polymer adhesive.

Uses Exhesive is used to bond energex® Insulation Board to exterior grade gypsum sheathing and sound unpainted exterior grade wood based sheathings such as plywood and non-veneer boards. For use on other substrates, contact energex® for specific written approval.
Surface Preparation Surfaces shall not be below 45° F or painted and must be clean, dry, structurally sound and free of grease or oil. American Plywood Association guidelines must be followed to insure proper installation of the wood based sheathings.
Cautions and Limitations The adhesive must be allowed to form a skin prior to installation on the wall.
Notes Exhesive IS NOT SUITABLE FOR BONDING INSULATION BOARD TO INSULATION BOARD.
Mixing No mixing is required, water should not be added.
Job Conditions Temperature for application of Exhesive must be 45° F or higher and must remain so for a minimum of 48 hours. Mixing - No mixing is required. Water should not be added.
Storage Exhesive must be stored at 45° F or above in tightly sealed containers out of direct sunlight.
Application All exposed edges of the insulation board must be wrapped with energex® mesh and embedded in Enermix. Exhesive shall be applied directly to the insulation board using a ¼” x ¼” x 1 ½” rounded notched trowel. The coated insulation board should be immediately pressed onto the surface of the substrate and slid into place. Apply firm pressure to the entire surface to insure complete contact between the coated insulation board and the substrate and insure that board edges abut tightly and that there is not any Exhesive between the boards. Temporary fasteners may be used, especially where contours exist to insure adequate contact between the coated insulation board and the substrate during the drying period. Care should be taken when removing the fasteners to avoid damage to the insulation board. Once the insulation board has been installed, wait a minimu m of 24 hours before working on the surface.
Drying Time Drying time depends upon the air temperature relative humidity and the porosity of the sheathing. Under average drying conditions (70° F, 55% R.H.), Exhesive sets within 24 hours and achieves full cure in approximately seven days. Protect work from rain for at least 48 hours.
Working Time After applying Exhesive to the insulation board, the coated board should be immediately attached to the substrate.
Bond Strength (ASTM D-897) - 50 psi (plywood/plywood substrate failure).
Water Vapor Transmission Does not create a water vapor barrier when installed according to application instructions.
Flexibility Will accommodate reasonable movement of wood based sheathings due to expansion and contraction without reduction of bond.
Clean Up Clean tools with water while Exhesive is still wet.
Coverage 300-400 square feet per pail.

energex® Enerfast Powder Mix is specially formulated cementitious product enriched with Polymers. Upon blending with water, and adhesive/embedding mixture is achieved for the energex® System

Uses EnerFast is used to adhere insulation board to an approved substrate and to embed reinforcing mesh as part of the base coat of the energex® System. The mixture can also be used as a skim coat to produce a smooth level surface on masonry or concrete.
Surface Preparation Application is to energex® recommended substrates. Typically, these include exterior grade gypsum sheathing on either steel or wood studs, clean unpainted concrete, concrete block, brick and stucco. Masonry, concrete and brick substrates must be flat within 1/4" in any four foot radius. For other substrates, please contact the energex® representative. Surfaces must not be below 40° F or painted and must be clean, dry, structurally sound and free of efflorescence, grease, oil, form release agents and curing compounds.
Cautions and Limitations Clean potable water must be added to adjust workability. DO NOT OVERWATER!

Do not install EnerFast on the substrate using the notch trowel
Mixing To a 50 lb. bag of EnerFast Powder Mix, add 1-1/2 gallons of water. Mix in a 5 gallon can with Jiffy Mixer for about 3 minutes until homogenous. Re-temper by adding a small amount of water to achieve the desired workability.
Job Conditions Temperature for application of EnerFast must be 40° F or higher and must remain so for a minimum of 24 hours.
Storage EnerFast must be stored at 40° F or above in tightly sealed containers out of direct sunlight.
Adhesive Application Using a stainless steel trowel, install a ribbon of EnerFast 2" (51mm) wide wide by 3/8" (10mm) thick around the entire perimeter of the Insulation Board. Place eight dabs of EnerFast 3/8" (10mm) thick by 4' (102mm) in diameter approximately 8" (204mm) on center to the interior area. Alternatively, a notch trowel may be used to install the EnerFast on the entire back of the Insulation Board. The 2" (51 mm) wide by 3/8" (10mm) thick ribbon must be installed around the entire perimeter of the board. (CAUTION - Do not install EnerFast on the substrate using the notch trowel). Immediately place the Insulation Board on the substrate and slide into position. Do not allow the EnerFast to form a skin before positioning the Insulation Board on the substrate.
Embedding Application Use a stainless steel trowel to apply EnerFast to the surface of the Insulation Board to a uniform thickness as recommended for the type of reinforcing mesh being installed. Immediately, place the reinforcing mesh against the wet EnerFast. The surface of the EnerFast is smoothed with a trowel until the reinforcing mesh is fully embedded. The pattern of the mesh must not be visible.
Temporary Protection Shall be provided at all times until the base coat, finish, and permanent flashings, sealants, etc. are completed to protect the wall from weather and other damage.
Drying Time The drying time of the EnerFast is dependent upon the air temperature and relative humidity. Under average drying conditions, (70 ° F, 55% RH), protect work from rain for at least 12 hours. EnerFast will set up in 2 hours under normal conditions. When used to bound insulation board to an approved substrate, a period of 12 hours must elapse to allow the EnerFast to form a positive bond. The insulation board should not be worked on while the EnerFast is curing.
Working Time After mixing, the working time of EnerFast is approximately one hour depending an ambient conditions.
Bond Strength (ASTM D-897) - 60 psi (gypsum sheathing), 160 psi (concrete block).
Clean Up Clean tools with water while EnerFast is still wet.
Coverage Approximately 110 square feet of surface area per 50 lb. per bag.
