|energex® NonCem is used to embed reinforcing mesh as part of the base coat of the energex® System.
|Cautions and Limitations
|Avoid prolonged skin contact. Shelf life is one year. The energex® NonCem must not be allowed to form a skin prior to installation.
|No mixing is required, water should not be added.
|Temperature for the application of energex® NonCem must be 45° F or higher and must remain so for a minimum of 48 hours.
|Protect from freezing. energex® NonCem must be stored at 40° F or above in a tightly sealed container out of direct sunlight.
|Use a stainless steel trowel to apply energex® NonCem to the surface of the substrate to a uniform thickness as recommended for type of reinforcing mesh being installed. Immediately place the reinforcing mesh against the wet energex® NonCem. The surface of the energex® NonCem is smoothed with a trowel until the reinforcing mesh is fully embedded. The pattern of the mesh will not be visible.
|Shall be provided at all times until base coat, finish, and permanent flashing, sealants, etc. are completed to protect the wall from weather and other damage. CLEAN UP - Clean tools with water while energex® NonCem is still wet.
|Under normal conditions and proper application, energex® NonCem will dry within 24 hours. Adverse temperature and relative humidity will alter drying times. energex® NonCem must be thoroughly dry prior to application. When in doubt, verify with a moisture meter.
|Material will surface dry by evaporation after being applied to the substrate. The drying time varies depending on relative humidity, climatic conditions and surface absorption. energex® NonCem will not harden if kept in properly closed containers.
|Excellent adhesion to concrete, cement block, plaster, gypsum board, polystyrene, wood (properly sealed) and rust-proofed metal.
|Flexible and chip resistant.
|Clean tools with water while energex® NonCem is still wet.
|Approximately 175 sq. ft. of surface area per pail.
